Abstract
Proposing new ideas based on the role of entrepreneurship in increasing job opportunities, competitiveness improvement in manpower productivity, technology development, wealth generating and also existence of strong relation between entrepreneurial development and economic growth of the countries. But to nurture entrepreneurship requires a rethinking of our education systems, pedagogies, curriculum and other education.
By 2015 World Bank estimates that there will be about 3 billion youth under 25 years old and a major portion of that will be in India. Entrepreneurship education will show the young people that they have to create their own destiny by starting their own venture and without depending on a job. It can be accomplished by offering classes to starting a business and bringing on successful role models to share their stories in those classes. This will not only help in creating prosperity for students who chooses this path being an entrepreneur but also inspire other people from his community and area to start their own business and hence creating the cycle of prosperity for the society. With this background, the present paper focuses on the need for a strong Entrepreneurship Education & the challenges faced by the Management Institutes in Entrepreneurship Education in India.
