Abstract
Peter the Great, Frederick the Great of Prussia, and Charles-Maurice Talleyrand - they all are charismatic in a certain way. What teams them up is a certain kind of charisma, not necessarily the positive one. They are all correspondingly unique – though in different ways, and not necessarily in the ways one would expect good men to fulfill their missions. From this perspective, I am retracing what is conspicuous in their biographies.
