Abstract

As the calendar pages move towards September 11 every year since 2001, the world is reminded of the tragedy that claimed the lives of many while scarred a lot more as the World Trade Center was attacked 14 years ago. As the world remembers and mourns for the loss, myriads emotions of empathy flow with families who lost their loved ones, a feeling that the incident should have never happened and a firm resolve that incidents like that not be repeated in the future come to life! However, living in India, virtually, across the globe, thousands of miles away from the World Trade Center, I am able recover the vivid picture descriptive of what happened after that incident in my own home and life. My daughter, who was just four years old back then, was massively impacted by this incident! How can that be you ask? How can a four year old child staying miles away be affected by this incident? And what kind of impact am I talking about? This is what I would like to share here.
