Abstract

This paper is an extract from Chapter 2 of Christine Riefa, Consumer protection and Online Auction Platforms, towards a safer legal framework (2015 Ashgate) 22-33. The paper focuses on the definition of distance contract contained in the Directive on consumer rights and demonstrates that online auction contracts fall within the remit of this piece of legislation.
