A Child-Centered Approach to Parentage Law

Abstract

This introductory article explains what it would mean for a state to draft its parentage law - that is, rules for establishing who will be a child’s legal parents - in a manner designed solely to do what is best for children, and it proffers for discussion a potential model of such a law.
