Abstract

English Abstract: The article attempts to apply the methodology of the activity approach to the identification of the nature of mass historical consciousness and it updates the praxeological aspect of the research. The mediating role of commemorative practices in the processes of social practices' relationship, social memory and mass historical consciousness is identfied. It is concluded that the existing studies of commemorative practices are insufficient, due to the fact that they affect mostly formal institutions of social memory. The article analyzes the everyday and non-everyday commemorative practices, as well as the specifics of their inherent historical methods of identification. Among the everyday commemorative practices that have the most explicit value on the formation and transformation of mass historical consciousness stand the practices of working, living and leisure.
