Maritime Security Cooperation in the India Ocean (在印度洋的海上安全合作)

Abstract

English Abstract: This paper identifies the threats that occur frequently in the Indian Ocean Region: piracy, maritime transnational crimes and environmental disasters. The author draws upon past cooperative measures where the major forces of the Indian Ocean Region (India, US, Australia and China) have dealt with these threats and evaluates these efforts. The paper proposes stronger communication in exchanging information, joint-training exercises and joint humanitarian imperatives.

Chinese Abstract: 本文指出，在印度洋地區經常發生的威脅：海盜，海上跨國犯罪，環境災害。筆者借鑒的地方印度洋地區（印度，美國，澳大利亞和中國）的主要力量已經處理了這些威脅，並評估這些努力，過去的合作措施。本文提出了信息交流，聯合訓練演習和聯合人道主義迫切需要較強的溝通。
