Abstract

Postmodern philosophers have found Levinas's work on Totality and Infinity an intriguing work of ethics since these scholars see Levinas's work through their own lens of understanding the definitions of the philosophical construct or concepts of Totality and Infinity in postmodern ethics. This reflection highlights the various interpretations and definitions of these two words by contemporary philosophers of the present time. In dong so, this reflection defines and explains Totality and Infinity based on the understanding and perceptions of philosophers, students and/or enthusiasts of philosophy of postmodern ethics in the likeness of Alex Scott (2016) in this challenging times in our postmodern society.
