Abstract

This work examines the amount of money that would be collected with the implementation of Tobin Tax-taxation on all the market operations at sight that involve transactions in different currencies. It also proposes to eliminate famine in Brazil, calculating how much additional income citizens would need to reach a minimum salary. The financial resources wool be obtained by adopting the Tobin tax and two other taxes existing in Brazil. The Federal Governmental Budget and States Budgets could also be used.
