Abstract
These are the Book Notes for the December 2015 Review of Constitutional Studies issue. They contain longer discussions of some books than others but, in any event, contain my brief comments on recent books that include: - Chris Andersen, "Metis": Race, Recognition, and the Struggle for Indigenous Peoplehood (UBC Press); - Benjamin Berger, Law's Religion (U Toronto Press); - Jamie Dickson, The Honour and Dishonour of the Crown: Making Sense of Aboriginal Law in Canada (Purich); - Lois Harder & Steve Patten, eds., Patriation and Its Consequences: Constitution Making in Canada (UBC Press); - Adam J. MacLeod, Property and Practical Reason (CUP); - Samuel Moyn, Christian Human Rights (Penn); - Victor Muniz-Fraticelli, The Structure of Pluralism: On the Authority of Associations (OUP); - Michael Plaxton, Implied Consent and Sexual Assault: Sexual Autonomy, Intimate Relationships, and Voice (McGill-Queen's); - Greg Poelzer & Ken S. Coates, From Treaty Peoples to Treaty Nation: A Road Map for All Canadians (UBC Press); - David Schneiderman, Red, White, and Kind of Blue? The Conservatives and the Americanization of Canadian Constitutional Culture (U of Toronto Press); and - Cass R. Sunstein, Constitutional Personae (OUP 2015).
The official version will appear in the Review of Constitutional Studies, but this is the edited version.
