Spanish Abstract: El presente artículo examina los experimentos monetarios ya vigentes en Cuba y lo que ellos nos dicen sobre la futura reforma monetaria, para luego analizar los beneficios y costos, así como las respuestas de política económica, asociadas a la eventual devaluación del tipo de cambio oficial.

English Abstract: This article examines the monetary experiments already in place in Cuba and what they tell us about future monetary reform, so as to then analyze the costs and benefits, as well as economic policy responses, associated with the eventual devaluation of the official exchange rate.
