Abstract

The paper is proposing an outline of the kingdom of Garamantes, starting from ancient texts and ending with some recent discoveries obtained by means of satellite images. Applying some image processing on the imagery of Google Maps, we can enhance the visibility of the ruins of fortresses, buildings and roads of this ancient population.
