Abstract

Serbian Abstract: U članku se razmatraju mogućnosti primene standardnih klasifikacionih tehnika na skup ordinalnih pokazatelja. Polazeći od rezultata Conovera i Ajmana, Pirsonov korelacioni koeficijent, sadržan u Ivanovićevom korekcionom faktoru u formuli za I-odstojanje bio je zamenjen odgovarajućim koeficijentima korelacije ranga.

Numerički primer poredi klasifikacije dobijene na osnovu kardinalnih i ordinalnih pokazatelja. Rezultati opravdavaju korišćenje ordinalnih indikatora u opštim klasifikacionim problemima.

English Abstract: This paper considers possibility of application of standard classification techniques to the set of ordinal indicators. Based on results of Conover and Iman, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, contained in Ivanović’s correction in formula for I-distance has been substituted with appropriate rank correlation coefficients.

The numerical example compares classifications obtained on the bases of cardinal and ordinal indicators. The results justify the use of ordinal indicators in general classifications problems.
