Abstract

Banking is the business depends on trust and confidence. If the customer is not happy with the service and approach, he will think of other avenues of investment and even for advances. Today private sector is growing and expanding to leaps and bounds and slowly capturing the public sector banks share both in rural and urban areas. In this scenario, the current paper is focused to study the changing practices and environment of rural banking in the sample area. The study reveals that, the availability, accessibility needs to improve by the public sector banks to reach the customers and to succeed in the market.
