Abstract

In England and Wales Cricket Board Ltd & Anor v Tixdaq Ltd & Anor, [2016] EWHC 575 the High Court of England and Wales ruled that short clips from broadcasts of cricket matches (up to 8 seconds each) were not protected as fair dealing for news reporting and, therefore, amounted to an infringement of copyright.
