檢舉國立東華大學包庇學術舞弊行徑(A Rebuttal to NDHU’S Cover-Ups of Academic Misconduct)

Abstract

Chinese Abstract: 國立東華大學前蔡姓主任秘書的升等教授代表作，被指控違背學術倫理案。學者公然發布指控，舉證升等著作變造自合著者碩士論文：輕度變造者，研究樣本、方法相同，結果卻不一致；重度變造者，研究樣本、方法、計量結果皆相同，顯著性係數卻被系統性的折半。然而，東華大學結論沒有違反學術倫理，卻拒絕提供說明。因此，本文特別譴責東華大學，同時再提供蔡裕源變造論文的細節。

English Abstract: The former Secretariat of NDHU, Yuh-Yuan Tsai, was accused of violating academic ethics in pursuit of his promotion to the position of professor. Scholars publicly provided evidence proving that Tsai’s primary work was falsified, based on the coauthor’s master-degree thesis. The two works use the same samples and methodologies, yet produce different numerical results. In particular, some numerical results render different significance levels. The significance coefficients of Tsai are systematically half of those found in the master thesis. Despite this manifest evidence, NDHU concluded that Tsai is not guilty of academic misconduct, and NDHU refuse to provide any explanation or support for their conclusion. Consequently, we renounce NDHU and set out the details of Tsai's misconduct again.
