Abstract
The report deals with the problem of changing of value orientation during the group coaching session. As a result of theoretical analysis we have found the lack of theoretical and empirical data about study of value orientations of client during the coaching sessions. Value orientation is the main element of person’s identity. The aim of the study is to identify and study the features of the dynamics of the client's value orientations during the coaching sessions. In accordance with the this aim the following objectives were formulated:
1. Conduct theoretical review and analysis of the key concepts of the present study; 2. Develop methodological tools for the operationalization of the basic theoretical concepts;. 3. Develop the scheme of empirical research; 4. Check the assumption of significant expression of certain client ego states at different stages of coaching sessions; 5. Create a graphical representation of the dynamics of each client's ego states in the process of coaching sessions.
The object of research is the dynamics of the client’s value orientations. The hypothesis of the research are the following assumptions: Hypothesis 1 - After the coaching sessions in the professional value orientations “Success”, “Career” and “Good work” will be most expressed in person than before group coaching session.
The sample involved 60 young people. Their age was from 18 to 30 years. Gender distribution was equal. All respondents are students of higher educational institutions.
The results show that professional value orientations is significantly expressed after the group coaching session in accordance with the average total score on the sample. Thus our hypothesis containing the suggestion that professional value orientations will be more expressed in person after group coaching session was confirmed in result of the analysis of obtained data.
