Abstract
The report is devoted to the analysis of the development of coaching in connection is modern personology. Coaching as the idea has existed since ancient times, which reflects the hermeneutical elements of this trend in accordance with the theory of person. The Greek philosopher Socrates proposed a special method of interaction with people, which suggested the discussion about a certain object with the help series of questions involving logical reasoning, mutual research of assumptions and their subsequent possible change. In the XX century, many psychological and philosophical disciplines and concepts were focused on study of the internal needs of person.
The emergence of coaching in the modern, practical understanding connected with the period of the 70s of the XX century. Timothy Galleway is a teacher at Harvard University, a sports coach was ideological founder of coaching. In his works, he proposed the concept of "inner game", which is considered as the basis of modern coaching. Galleway argued that internal fears and obstacles (lack of self-confidence, excessive zeal, congestion, anger etc) are more influential and dangerous than the opponent in a real match, and in that case the main purpose of the interaction between coach and the client is, first of all, to vin these obstacles.
According to personology Coaching is the disclosure of a person's potential with maximum of his/her effectiveness. Coaching is the art of promoting efficiency and effectiveness, training and development of another person. Based on personology of V.A. Petrovsky and E.B. Starovoitenko we considered such problems in coaching as position coach as the expert, communicative cooperation coach and the client and influence of coach on thought and activities of the client.
We made the conclusion that personological ideas can be useful for the development of coaching as practical direction in the modern humanitarian knowledge.
