Abstract

This Paper analyzes the budget for children in India. It include three broad areas namely percentage of Union Budget from 2000-01 to 2014-15, Sectorial Allocation and Statement related to Health, education, Protection and development. There is a significant improvement in all the sectors concerned with budget for children. The study also covered the national family health survey (NFHS) for understanding the health behavior about the children. The mortality rate has been observed for health related issues. In the view of econometrics, we use the graphical representation for identifying the trends related to year wise growth. We observed that government has taken care for improving the children growth. However, we further need to give more percentage of resource allocation in the coming future.
