Abstract

This short essay features five keys to effective learning and networking during international exchanges by legal professional hosts and travelers. Exchanges include short-term professional exchange visits, cross-cultural professional projects, conference activity, and international legal study in degree programs. Participants attend to culture, think comparatively, communicate for shared understanding, build relationships, and spread learning upon return home. Those who prepare themselves in these ways reap many rewards from the experiences.
