Abstract

Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) has recently attracted significant criticism both in academia and in the general political debate. In spite of the growing importance of the topic in the public debate, the reasons for the criticism against ISDS are heavily under-researched, and the approaches toward its reform are often misplaced, or limited to anecdotal considerations. To fill this gap, this research seeks, for the first time, to gather the public opinion concerning this topic.
