Abstract

Underwater networking sensor nodes provide the oceanographic collection of data and monitoring of unmanned or autonomous underwater vehicle to explore sea recourses and gathering of scientific data. The sensor network contains the statistical data about the sensor nodes. High Speed Optical communication is provided between the nodes in a point to point fashion. The design emphasis on the modulation and demodulation of the signals and thereby providing the synchronization between the nodes. The challenges include waterproofing, casing, calibration. Furthermore the research issues are outlined.
