Abstract

Our investigation is devoted to the problem of place of digital online games in players’s value structure. This investigation is based on the scheme: “qualities of games – consequences – new system of value orientation’’ (IQON). We made the analysis of efficiency of this scheme using methods of interview, content analysis, correlational and statistical procedure. The total of 96 gamers were chosen via snowball method of sampling.

The results of the research show that Russian players pay attention to such game’s qualities as popularity, the level of graphic, presence of “open world’’. Digital online games is connected with value orientations as love to others, cooperation, feel of belonging, happiness and mutual respect.
