Abstract

The report is devoted to investigation of the problem of implementation of digital games in therapy and psychological support of people with disabilities. Authors make analysis of the new types of games and gaming procedures which specifically designed for the use by psychologists in the work with people with disabilities.

Therefore, the researcher came up with the idea to create a project in the form of a gaming experience that could challenge the cognitive functions of a person and thus optimize the work of the brain.

A.Gazzaley developed game "Body Brain Trainer (BBT)". During game patient is showed the different characters on the screen. Doctor asks patient to choose one of them with the help of movements of his body. This arcade has a fast temp, so the player has to actively move and not make a mistake with the choice of symbol. According to the BBT idea, if you force a person to "work" both physically and mentally, it will bring much more benefit than, for example, playing the Body Brain Trainer using computer.

We made the conclusion that such games as BBT can be used to provide sufficient coordination of movements and development of physical and mental functions of people with disabilities.
