Abstract

WTO law is seen as a tool for development with various approaches of trade policy being tried and tested on different developing countries. This paper reviews one of the poorest countries of the world - Central African Republic and seeks to explain the failures of the development policy and derive general conclusions on Least Developed Countries (LDCs).

The paper was prepared as part of an LLM program and received outstanding marks from the guiding Professor. It was revised and improved in order to make it more accurate, reflect the developments in the country and the comments by fellow colleagues.
