Abstract

This paper describes the current status of the transposition of the Private Enforcement Directive (Directive 2014/104/EU) in Portugal. It analyses the transposition procedure itself, as well as the main innovative characteristics of the proposed national law. There are many issues in which the Portuguese legislator has gone beyond the requirements of the Directive, which may be of interest for reflection at EU level and in other Member States.
