Abstract
Sustainability and efficiency have become common language in today’s world. It is difficult to track what they mean to people every day. The concept of efficiency, in many ways, made sustainable development seem plausible thus far. A lot would have been impossible outside of technological application. But this does not discount the subtle haste to get everyone on the train: there exist some conceptual limitations which this paper attempts to discuss and clarify.
