Abstract
Jack Abebe is a Regional Knowledge Management and Research Specialist for UN Women East and Southern African Region and manages the knowledge management and research portfolio. His interests span gender equality, women’s empowerment, evidence-based policy development, advocacy and programme implementation. His work includes analyzing development interventions and managing the day-to-day research, data analysis/generation, and communities of practice on the SDGs for the region. He also works on capacity building for staff including linking countries in the region to regional priorities, generating evidence and data that translate policy to programming while also offering technical support to multi and country offices to accelerate development interventions, programming and policy responses.
