Research and Development of the Ability of Teacher for Student-Centered Teaching, the Schools in Area of Education 1 Chonburi: Follow-Up Research to Evaluate a Student-Centered Teaching

Abstract

This is a research and development conducted by Integrated Mixed methodology on both quantitative and qualitative. The purpose of this research to study the students centered teaching. The teachers and staff of the schools under the area of Chonburi 1 Thailand collected the data in the year 2015. The students centered focus research tool behaviors on teaching. The data was analyzed Statistics describing the information and inferential statistics used for comparison, content analysis by the method of classification. Research results found that, Students centered teaching of teachers as perceived after participants are classified according to the level of ability (the average score) showed that the ability of the learning and teaching focuses on the student's center (After participating), most scores are good (4.00- 4.51), representing 43.60 per cent, followed by a moderate. The average score of mean=3.50 - 3.99, percent and averaging 27.40 in the well (4.51- 5.00) and found that the low average scores mean= 0:00 - 3:49, with only 3.20 per cent. Compare the ability of the learning and teaching of teachers based on student perceptions of their own (the participants) by the group found that the average effectiveness of the project. Students centered teaching of teachers based on their perception of their own (the participants) was good and very good teaching ability increases of Training. The very highest increase was 10.20 percent and 8.20 increased ability levels that result from poor training ability with fewer make the most moderate 11.60 percent and 6.70 percent less.

Students centered teaching (after joining) by individuals found that teachers develop the competencies of students centered teaching after the program of 804 representing a percentage of 72.04 but The teachers have not developed a number of 312 people, representing 27.96 per cent. The students centered teaching after participating by school that mean scores were at a high level total mean = 4.21 , standard deviation = .39 and considering identified by the school, found The school ability scores mean = 4.56 , standard deviation = .36 and found that the mean of the lowest, Mean = 3.65 , standard deviation = .25.
