Abstract

The paper presents a Load Frequency Control (LFC) of a standalone Micro Grid (MG). The micro grid is developed with PV and wind power system model. The maximum DC output is obtained from the sources with the help of boost converters and by employing MPPT algorithms. The voltage magnitude and phase angle of the signal has been estimated with Phase Locked Loop (PLL). The output voltage and frequency of the system are maintained as constant even for the variable load conditions which has been achieved with the designed PI control loops for both voltage and frequency. The simulation results are proved that both the output voltage and frequency are limited within the standards.
