Abstract
The home automation system plays an important role in maintaining the living standards also it provides a secure and flexible environment around the home. The aim of this project is to design a home automation system which makes an operating of electrical appliances through android applications and also to provide secure home through smart phones. The home automation system allows controlling of home appliances by the usage of voice commands recognizing the input speech. That is the electrical appliances such as fan, light switches, light sensors, current sensors are integrated in a system which then connected to Raspberry which act as controller within the home to control and perform the user commands. This system provides safety from intrusion, theft, fire and leakage of flammable for the people. This work also aims to provide security and surveillance to home through internet. In this work, the proposed system is designed using Linux OS based Raspberry Pi-3 boarda and USB web camera. A webpage is provided to the end user with username and password in order to allow only the entry of authorized users. After login successfully into the webpage, the user is able to control the live streaming video of the desired location. This paper illustrates a methodology to provide a low-cost Home Automation System (HAS) using Bluetooth. A Bluetooth based Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is designed for the purpose of monitoring and controlling environmental, safety and electrical parameters of a smart interconnected home.
