Abstract
This article examines competition law approach towards collective sale of football broadcasting rights. In particular, following the proliferation of the Internet-enabled technologies, the values of football broadcasting rights have been increasing relentlessly. To that end, given the size of the cake and the role of the relevant content with regard to the competition in the television markets, it is no wonder that the sale of these rights have been under scrutiny of competition authorities. In this article, we will examine the widely accepted principles brought with regard to the collective sale of football broadcasting rights through an examination of the landmark cases on this matter.
