Abstract
Now-a-days, there is a need of a research in water technologies to monitor and maintain the level of ground water and to identify new methodology for preserving the water resources in earth. Water resource plays important role in agriculture. Increasing in population needs more food production methodology using limited natural resources. Implementation of selective irrigation system based on nature of crop may help to reduce the water resources and control the usage of fertilizers. At present the traditional sprinkler and surface irrigation system are used by the farmers without analyzing the nature of crop to overcome the problems of workers as well as water scarcity. If the irrigation system is designed based on the nature of crop and the cultivation method, it will reduce the maintenance cost of the drip irrigation system. This research paper introduce the fully automated sensor based subsurface irrigation system for Ratoon crop to reduce the water usage and increase cycle of the Ratoon crop with minimum maintenance cost of irrigation system.
