Abstract
This paper contains a number of terms important for understanding the developments that are taking place in the crypto community. Because change is happening so rapidly, it is extremely difficult to stay current on the terms, concepts and issues relevant to blockchain, cryptoassets, and the regulation of ICOs and other cryptotransactions. This paper creates a “cryptionary” of alphabetized terms that should make much of what is being written in the space more understandable. The paper also makes note of terms as to which there is considerable ambiguity over meaning, and includes an assessment of the most common or more useful definitions where appropriate. To the extent possible, explanations assume that the reader does not have a technical background and is not already familiar with the topics discussed.
