Abstract
The aircraft development project is a mega-project that requires a huge budget, high technology and influenced by a high uncertainty factor. The aircraft development project must have good coordination between the activities in order to achieve the targeted time. Inaccurate time estimates and interdependency between activities may be the cause of project delay. Project delay can be avoided with accurate planning and scheduling processes. In this research, the Dependency Structure Matrix (DSM) is used to perform project scheduling by managing the complexity of the information flow within a project. Comparative analysis was conducted between schedule in DSM and Critical Path Method (CPM). The sequence of activities that obtained using DSM produces a shorter project duration compared to the Critical Path Method.
