Abstract

Chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment (CICI; also called “cancer-related cognitive impairment,” “cancer-related cognitive dysfunction,” or “chemobrain”) is a widely recognized consequence of cancer treatment, with potential to disrupt the daily and occupational lives of survivors for a period of time. This review covers what has been published on the mechanisms involved in, and treatment approaches explored to date for, CICI.
