Abstract

In this paper, we study the dynamical behavior of a Susceptible-Asymptomatic- Infectious-Quarantine-Recovered (SAIQR) model with fractional order. Modeling such a model by fractional order provides the system with long time memory. The fractional SAIQR model does limit the interactions of Q-individuals and assume A-individuals are infectious. Recurring epidemic is shown through simulations with typical parameters for influenza. We calculate the basic reproduction number R0 and show how the asymptotic stability of the disease-free equilibrium depends on it. The fractional derivative is defined in the Caputo sense and the numerical simulations are given accordingly.
