Abstract

English Abstract: This essay sketches out some lines of argument in regard to the relationship between political realism and moral normativity. Usually, ethics and politics walk through divergent paths. In the real world, realists maintain that moral considerations must not guide the action in the political sphere, in light of the fact that there is a difference of nature between both of them. Political theory, from Thucydides, Aristotle and Hobbes onwards, is crossed by a tension between what can be done and what must be done, in a particular context of action.
