Abstract

Terrorism is a meticulously planned and systematically designed organized crime in which every individual terrorist's activity is well coordinated and monitored by his gang or the organization which he represents. This parameter exists in all organized crimes but the difference is that, unlike others, terrorism spreads fear psychoses in a civilized society thereby creating morbidity in the life style of an individual. The crumbling of the famous World Trade Center and the anthrax epidemic threat found everywhere in USA have made the people in the country insecure and scared This is sufficient to illustrate how terrorists with technological sophistication are increasingly being recruited to carry out lethal bombing attacks. So is the example of the series of the terror incidence in India which has made the Indian government sit up to deliberate the need for a National Security Act to combat international terrorism and to pull the country from the embryo of trauma and sense of insecurity. It is the threatened or actual use of force by unlawful outfits to attain some political, religious or other objectives. These objectives may be just or unjust. Terrorism may also be defined as a form of organized crime prevalent in society in specific socio-economic environments and which aims to highlight its cause or demand by a combination of fear and publicity It is being used as a means for the furtherance of political ideologies, religious thought, regional aspirations and even the mitigation of sectarian differences and also caste conflicts. This act is used to fulfill many objectives at one blow for instance one of them in particular is to spread violence and second to .instill fear and terrorize the targets .and finally to show the world with the help of the media their strength and power to destabilize the integrity of a country The actions of terrorists policy makers who ruled the country. It used to be anarchy against the dictatorship and a cruel ruler. Such wars saw fight between the rich and the poor, the haves and the have-nots, and a revolution came with the poor common man getting his voice heard. It was a conflict which resulted in the emergence of a new society. The terrorist today prefer to work away from their place of stay and target the enemy countries rather than bringing any change in their own country.
