Abstract

Investigating the citation patterns of law review articles, I tally the citations to the first five articles from a sample of 26 journals from 1992 and 2012. I compare articles with one another and articles over time. And I compare the citation patterns for articles in these two snapshots with those from 1982, which I gathered for Part 3 of this series.

Wrapping up the project, this installment has a list of a dozen generalizations from the study, as well as comments about what I learned about the process of designing and executing a bibliometric study.

Keywords: law reviews, law journals, legal periodicals, citation studies, librarianship, bibliometrics
