Abstract
The paper deals with the unsupervised activities of a student in the process of teaching foreign lexis by future PR-specialists. PR-specialists should be able to conduct business communication, perceive multimedia information in foreign languages in real time, and be able to present their works in foreign languages in writing. We consider communicative competence as the important professional skill of PR-specialists. We made the conclusion that independent learning activity of the student is the basis for the successful development of a foreign language. In the course of performing tasks of unsupervised activities, student-future PR-specialists must learn to think, analyze tasks, take into account the conditions and solve emerging problems, that is, the process of unsupervised activities must turn into a creative work.
