Abstract

English Abstract: The paper reports problems of the marine pollution of the Barents Sea by the petroleum hydrocarbons. The Barents Sea is a unique basin of the Russian Arctic. It is a single hydrodynamic system with complex hydrological and climatic conditions. At the same time, the region of the Barents Sea is experiencing anthropogenic impacts associated with the exploration, production and development of the oil fields in the adjacent regions. The article discusses the main types and localization of the contaminated areas.
