Abstract
This book chapter considers the challenges of creating a human rights dialogue between the executive, parliament and judiciary under the Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006 (Vic). First, it outlines how the dialogue is and is not working; and, secondly, suggests ways in which the law could be reformed to improve the dialogue (and, thus, human rights protections).
