Abstract
Conflict management is the ability to be able to identify and handle conflicts sensibly, fairly, and efficiently. To respond the negative or positive impacts of the conflict, a proper conflict management process has to be practiced in an organization. Conflict management aimed at stabilizing the conflicts among the people with much damage to any of the party. If proper conflict management is implemented in an organization then the bad consequences of the conflicts can be reduced to minimum. This paper focuses on the importance of the conflict management and its role in improving the performance of the employees. Conflict management helps in improving the performance of the employees in terms of strengthening employees‟ relationships, resolving problems quickly and effectively, decreasing overall tension which is good for a better working environment, leads to greater levels of productivity and creativity,quick decision making, improves commitment and communication, reduces absenteeism and turnover and reduces stress.Comparison is done between male and female employees about the impact of conflict management under given conflicts. Statistical tools are used for data analysis and five point rating scale is used to get responses.
