Abstract

In modern electrophysiology, spike sorting is popularized to note the brain actions based on neural signals. The neural spike sorting is majorly used to categorize and decode the neural signals that are coming from the brain hence there is a need of an efficient embedded processor to process the neural signals. The different neural spike sorting algorithms and also reduction complexity of NSP are presented in literature. This paper presents a review on brain signals, various spike sorting methods and also processor to control brain signals thereby the comparison of existing methods are presented.

Keywords: Spike Sorting; Multi-Channel; MAC; EEG; NSP
