Abstract

This paper is focused on review of industrial radiographic imaging techniques used in verifying the stability of industrial specimen. Non- destructive testing (NDT) is used for quality inspection of mechanical components. Industrial Radiography testing is one of the widely used NDT technique to examine hidden flaws. X-rays and gamma rays are used for radiographic analysis. When latent image is formed on X-ray film is called film radiography. In contrast, when latent image is formed on phosphor Image Plate (IP) is called as Digital Radiography. Filmless radiography added digital filters and other features to the latent image. This review concluded the advantages and disadvantages of radiographic imaging modalities and their advanced techniques.
