Abstract
The fourth industrial revolution (4IR) is expected to change the nature of jobs and the way people work. One of its prominent features is the automation of tasks, made possible by remarkable advancements in computing technology, artificial intelligence, and advanced robotics. While automation may increase labor productivity, it may also displace workers whose main tasks are automated. This study maps Philippine workers at different levels of automation risk across eight categories: economic sector, age, gender, educational attainment, income, type of organization, nature of employment, and administrative region.
