Abstract

The world is highly dependent on the food production. Thus, food production mostly depends on the soil quality. After knowing the importance of soil, knowledge about soil quality along with its components should be known .Hyperspectral non-imaging data means reflectance spectroscopy is a rapid, non-destructive, cost-effective and time consuming tool for evaluating the soil parameters. Information about soil parameter estimation is considered to be of great importance to agricultural development, it is useful to farmers for making decision related to know about status of soil nutrients. The most important issue addressed in this paper is the study area selected for this research Vaijapur is one of taluka comes in Aurangabad district in Marathwada region and suffering from the problem of agricultural productivity and drought. So creation of soil spectral database and its preprocessing is important for estimation of soil parameters. And it is very needful in agricultural sector and for farmers to making decision and to save soil quality for future generations. The objective of this paper is creation of spectral database for Vaijapur taluka and preprocessing of spectral data for better understanding of soil parameters.
