Abstract
The occurrence of Vector-borne human diseases continues to pose significant health risks in many parts of the world. The two strains such as Bacillus sphaericus and Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. Israelensis(Bravo, et al.,2004;Margalith, et al., 2000 Pootanakit, et al., 2003) toxic to different mosquito and black fly species, but does not control the puapae of mosquito species. We have identified the glycoprotein 55 kDa (Glycoconjugate) from pseudomonas fluorescens migula as a biocontrol agent. We provided the evidence of binding of glycoprotein to the GPI-anchored APN & ALP on BBMV (brush border membrane vesicles), leading to glycoprotein insertion into membrane lipid rafts and degrades the peritropic membrane of midgut epithelium of larvae and pupae and thus controls the vectors.
