Abstract

We continue our exploration of Consumer Surplus (CS) we originally discussed in our 2017 paper https://ssrn.com/abstract=3042915.

Specifically: (1) Why the magnitude and macroeconomic importance of CS are overlooked by most economists and consumers; and (2) Why measuring CS is important. We call upon other researchers to collaborate in addressing these gaps.
